3 and he spake to them many things in parables, saying: Behold the Sower went forth to sow.

4 And whiles he soweth, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air did come and eat it.

5 Other some also fell upon rocky places, where they had not much earth: and they shot up incontinent, because they had not deepness of earth,

6 and after the sun was up, they parched: and because they had not root, they withered.

7 And other fell among thorns: and the thorns grew and choked them.

8 And other some fell upon good ground: and they yielded fruit, the one an hundredfold, the other threescore, and an other thirty.
