1 Timothy 6 💬 📚 📜 📕 ↷

5 conflicts of men corrupted in their mind, and that are deprived of the truth, that esteem gain to be piety.

Godliness with Contentment

6 But piety with sufficiency is great gain.

7 For we brought nothing into this world, doubtless, neither can we take away any thing.

8 But having food, and wherewith to be covered, with these we are content.

9 For they that will be made rich, fall into tentation and the snare of the devil, and many desires unprofitable and hurtful, which drown men into destruction and perdition.

10 For the root of all evils is covetousness; which certain desiring have erred from the faith, and have entangled themselves in many sorrows.

Fight the Good Fight

11 But thou, o man of God, fly these things; and pursue justice, piety, faith, charity, patience, mildness.

A Charge to the Rich

17 Command the rich of this world not to be high minded, nor to trust in the uncertainty of riches, but in the living God (who giveth us all things aboundantly to enjoy)
