And

he had opened

ἀνοίγω

the seventh

ἕβδομος

seal,

σφραγίς

there was

γίνομαι

silence

σιγή

in

ἐν

heaven

οὐρανός

about the space of

ὡς

half an hour.

ἡμιώριον

And

καί

I saw

οἶδα

the seven

ἑπτά

angels

ἄγγελος

which

ὅς

stood

ἵστημι

before

ἐνώπιον

God;

θεός

and

καί

to them

αὐτός

were given

δίδωμι

seven

ἑπτά

trumpets.

σάλπιγξ

And

καί

another

ἄλλος

angel

ἄγγελος

came

ἔρχομαι

and

καί

stood

ἵστημι

at

ἐπί

the altar,

θυσιαστήριον

having

ἔχω

a golden

χρυσοῦς

censer;

λιβανωτός

and

καί

there was given

δίδωμι

unto him

αὐτός

much

πολύς

incense,

θυμίαμα

that

ἵνα

he should offer

δίδωμι

it with the prayers

προσευχή

of all

πᾶς

saints

ἅγιος

upon

ἐπί

the golden

χρυσοῦς

altar

θυσιαστήριον

which

ὁ

was before

ἐνώπιον

the throne.

the smoke

καπνός

of the incense,

θυμίαμα

which came with the prayers

προσευχή

of the saints,

ἅγιος

ascended up

ἀναβαίνω

before

ἐνώπιον

God

θεός

out of

ἐκ

the angel's

ἄγγελος

hand.

χείρ

And

καί

the angel

ἄγγελος

took

λαμβάνω

the censer,

λιβανωτός

and

καί

filled

γεμίζω

it

αὐτός

with

ἐκ

fire

πῦρ

of the altar,

θυσιαστήριον

and

καί

cast

βάλλω

it into

εἰς

the earth:

γῆ

and

καί

there were

γίνομαι

voices,

φωνή

and

καί

thunderings,

βροντή

and

καί

lightnings,

ἀστραπή

and

καί

an earthquake.

the seven

ἑπτά

angels

ἄγγελος

which

ὁ

had

ἔχω

the seven

ἑπτά

trumpets

σάλπιγξ

prepared

ἑτοιμάζω

themselves

ἑαυτοῦ

to

ἵνα

sound.

καί

The first

πρῶτος

angel

ἄγγελος

sounded,

σαλπίζω

and

καί

there followed

γίνομαι

hail

χάλαζα

and

καί

fire

πῦρ

mingled

μίγνυμι

with blood,

αἷμα

and

καί

they were cast

βάλλω

upon

εἰς

the earth:

γῆ

and

καί

the third part

τρίτος

of trees

δένδρον

was burnt up,

κατακαίω

and

καί

all

πᾶς

green

χλωρός

grass

χόρτος

was burnt up.

καί

the second

δεύτερος

angel

ἄγγελος

sounded,

σαλπίζω

and

καί

as it were

ὡς

a great

μέγας

mountain

ὄρος

burning

καίω

with fire

πῦρ

was cast

βάλλω

into

εἰς

the sea:

θάλασσα

and

καί

the third part

τρίτος

of the sea

θάλασσα

became

γίνομαι

blood;

αἷμα

And

καί

the third part

τρίτος

of the creatures

κτίσμα

which

ὁ

were in

ἐν

the sea,

θάλασσα

and had

ἔχω

life,

ψυχή

died;

ἀποθνῄσκω

and

καί

the third part

τρίτος

of the ships

πλοῖον

were destroyed.

διαφθείρω

And

καί

the third

τρίτος

angel

ἄγγελος

sounded,

σαλπίζω

and

καί

there fell

πίπτω

a great

μέγας

star

ἀστήρ

from

ἐκ

heaven,

οὐρανός

burning

καίω

as it were

ὡς

a lamp,

λαμπάς

and

καί

it fell

πίπτω

upon

ἐπί

the third part

τρίτος

of the rivers,

ποταμός

and

καί

upon

ἐπί

the fountains

πηγή

of waters;

ὕδωρ

And

καί

the name

ὄνομα

of the star

ἀστήρ

is called

λέγω

Wormwood:

ἄψινθος

and

καί

the third part

τρίτος

of the waters

ὕδωρ

became

γίνομαι

εἰς

wormwood;

ἄψινθος

and

καί

many

πολύς

men

ἄνθρωπος

died

ἀποθνῄσκω

of

ἐκ

the waters,

ὕδωρ

because

ὅτι

they were made bitter.

πικραίνω

And

καί

the fourth

τέταρτος

angel

ἄγγελος

sounded,

σαλπίζω

and

καί

the third part

τρίτος

of the sun

ἥλιος

was smitten,

πλήσσω

and

καί

the third part

τρίτος

of the moon,

σελήνη

and

καί

the third part

τρίτος

of the stars;

ἀστήρ

so as

ἵνα

the third part

τρίτος

of them

αὐτός

was darkened,

σκοτίζω

and

καί

the day

ἡμέρα

shone

φαίνω

not

μή

for a third part

τρίτος

of it,

αὐτός

and

καί

the night

νύξ

likewise.

ὁμοίως

And

καί

I beheld,

οἶδα

and

καί

heard

ἀκούω

an

εἷς

angel

ἄγγελος

flying

πέτομαι

through

ἐν

the midst of heaven,

μεσουράνημα

saying

λέγω

with a loud

μέγας

voice,

φωνή

Woe,

οὐαί

woe,

οὐαί

woe,

οὐαί

to the inhabiters

κατοικέω

of

ἐπί

the earth

γῆ

by reason of

ἐκ

the other

λοιπός

voices

φωνή

of the trumpet

σάλπιγξ

of the three

τρεῖς

angels,

ἄγγελος

which

ὁ

are yet

μέλλω

to sound!

σαλπίζω
