Throne in Heaven

1

After

μετά

this

ταῦτα

I looked,

οἶδα

and,

καί

behold,

ἰδού

a door

θύρα

was opened

ἀνοίγω

in

ἐν

heaven:

οὐρανός

and

καί

the first

πρῶτος

voice

φωνή

which

ὅς

I heard

ἀκούω

was as it were of

ὡς

a trumpet

σάλπιγξ

talking

λαλέω

with

μετά

me;

ἐμοῦ

which said,

λέγω

Come up

ἀναβαίνω

hither,

ὧδε

and

καί

I will shew

δείκνυμι

thee

σοί

things which

ὅς

must

δεῖ

be

γίνομαι

hereafter.

μετά

ταῦτα

And

καί

immediately

εὐθέως

I was

γίνομαι

in

ἐν

the spirit:

πνεῦμα

and,

καί

behold,

ἰδού

a throne

θρόνος

was set

κεῖμαι

in

ἐν

heaven,

οὐρανός

and

καί

one sat

κάθημαι

on

ἐπί

the throne.

he that sat

κάθημαι

was

ἦν

to look upon

ὅρασις

like

ὅμοιος

a jasper

ἴασπις

and

καί

a sardine

σάρδινος

stone:

λίθος

and

καί

there was a rainbow

ἶρις

round about

κυκλόθεν

the throne,

θρόνος

in sight

ὅρασις

like

ὅμοιος

unto an emerald.

σμαράγδινος

καί

round about

κυκλόθεν

the throne

θρόνος

were four

τέσσαρες

and

καί

twenty

εἴκοσι

seats:

θρόνος

and

καί

upon

ἐπί

the seats

θρόνος

I saw

οἶδα

four

τέσσαρες

and

καί

twenty

εἴκοσι

elders

πρεσβύτερος

sitting,

κάθημαι

clothed

περιβάλλω

in

ἐν

white

λευκός

raiment;

ἱμάτιον

and

καί

they had

ἔχω

on

ἐπί

their

αὐτός

heads

κεφαλή

crowns

στέφανος

of gold.

χρυσοῦς

Worship of the Creator

And

καί

out of

ἐκ

the throne

θρόνος

proceeded

ἐκπορεύομαι

lightnings

ἀστραπή

and

καί

thunderings

βροντή

and

καί

voices:

φωνή

and

καί

there were seven

ἑπτά

lamps

λαμπάς

of fire

πῦρ

burning

καίω

before

ἐνώπιον

the throne,

θρόνος

which

ὅς

are

εἰσί3rd

the seven

ἑπτά

Spirits

πνεῦμα

of God.

And

καί

ἐνώπιον

the throne

θρόνος

there was a sea

θάλασσα

of glass

ὑάλινος

like

ὅμοιος

unto crystal:

κρύσταλλος

and

καί

in

ἐν

the midst

μέσος

of the throne,

θρόνος

and

καί

round about

κύκλος

the throne,

θρόνος

were four

τέσσαρες

beasts

ζῷον

full

γέμω

of eyes

ὀφθαλμός

before

ἔμπροσθεν

and

καί

behind.

ὄπισθεν

And

καί

the first

πρῶτος

beast

ζῷον

was like

ὅμοιος

a lion,

λέων

and

καί

the second

δεύτερος

beast

ζῷον

like

ὅμοιος

a calf,

μόσχος

and

καί

the third

τρίτος

beast

ζῷον

had

ἔχω

a face

πρόσωπον

as

ὡς

a man,

ἄνθρωπος

and

καί

the fourth

τέταρτος

beast

ζῷον

was like

ὅμοιος

a flying

πέτομαι

eagle.

ἀετός

And

καί

the four

τέσσαρες

beasts

ζῷον

had

ἔχω

each

ἀνά

εἷς

of them

κατά

ἑαυτοῦ

six

ἕξ

wings

πτέρυξ

about

κυκλόθεν

him; and

καί

they were full

γέμω

of eyes

ὀφθαλμός

within:

ἔσωθεν

and

καί

they rest

ἀνάπαυσις

not

οὐ

ἔχω

day

ἡμέρα

and

καί

night,

νύξ

saying,

λέγω

Holy,

ἅγιος

holy,

ἅγιος

holy,

ἅγιος

Lord

κύριος

God

θεός

Almighty,

παντοκράτωρ

which

ὁ

was,

ἦν

ὁ

and

καί

is,

ὤν

ὁ

and

καί

is to come.

ἔρχομαι

ὁ

when

ὅταν

those beasts

ζῷον

give

δίδωμι

glory

δόξα

and

καί

honour

τιμή

and

καί

thanks

εὐχαριστία

to him that sat

κάθημαι

on

ἐπί

the throne,

θρόνος

who

ὁ

liveth

ζάω

for

εἰς

ever

αἰών

and ever,

αἰών

The four

τέσσαρες

and

καί

twenty

εἴκοσι

elders

πρεσβύτερος

fall down

πίπτω

before

ἐνώπιον

him that sat

κάθημαι

on

ἐπί

the throne,

θρόνος

and

καί

worship

προσκυνέω

him that liveth

ζάω

for

εἰς

ever

αἰών

and ever,

αἰών

and

καί

cast

βάλλω

their

αὐτός

crowns

στέφανος

before

ἐνώπιον

the throne,

θρόνος

saying,

λέγω

Thou art

εἶ

worthy,

ἄξιος

O Lord,

κύριος

to receive

λαμβάνω

glory

δόξα

and

καί

honour

τιμή

and

καί

power:

δύναμις

for

ὅτι

thou

σύ

hast created

κτίζω

all things,

πᾶς

and

καί

for

διά

thy

σοῦ

pleasure

θέλημα

they are

εἰσί3rd

and

καί

were created.

κτίζω
