Two Witnesses

And

there was given

a reed

κάλαμος

like

ὅμοιος

unto a rod:

ῥάβδος

and

the angel

ἄγγελος

stood,

ἵστημι

saying,

λέγω

Rise,

ἐγείρω

and

καί

measure

μετρέω

the temple

ναός

of God,

θεός

and

καί

the altar,

θυσιαστήριον

and

καί

them that worship

προσκυνέω

therein.

ἐν

αὐτός

But

καί

the court

αὐλή

which

ὁ

is without

ἔξωθεν

ἔσωθεν

the temple

ναός

leave

ἐκβάλλω

out,

ἔξω

and

καί

measure

μετρέω

it

αὐτός

not;

μή

for

ὅτι

it is given

δίδωμι

unto the Gentiles:

ἔθνος

and

καί

the holy

ἅγιος

city

πόλις

shall they tread under foot

πατέω

forty

τεσσαράκοντα

and two

δύο

months.

μήν

And

καί

I will give

δίδωμι

power unto my

μοῦ

two

δύο

witnesses,

μάρτυς

and

καί

they shall prophesy

προφητεύω

a thousand

χίλιοι

two hundred

διακόσιοι

and threescore

ἑξήκοντα

days,

ἡμέρα

clothed in

περιβάλλω

sackcloth.

These

οὗτος

are

εἰσί3rd

the two

olive

ἐλαία

trees, and

καί

the two

δύο

candlesticks

λυχνία

standing

ἵστημι

before

ἐνώπιον

the God

θεός

of the earth.

And

καί

if any man

εἴ

αὐτός

will

θέλω

hurt

ἀδικέω

them,

αὐτός

fire

πῦρ

proceedeth

ἐκπορεύομαι

out of

ἐκ

their

αὐτός

mouth,

στόμα

and

καί

devoureth

κατεσθίω

their

αὐτός

enemies:

ἐχθρός

and

καί

if any man

εἴ

will

θέλω

hurt

ἀδικέω

them,

αὐτός

he must

δεῖ

in this manner

οὕτως

be killed.

ἀποκτείνω

These

οὗτος

have

ἔχω

power

ἐξουσία

to shut

κλείω

heaven,

οὐρανός

that

ἵνα

it rain

βρέχω

ὑετός

not

ἵνα

in

ἐν

the days

ἡμέρα

of their

αὐτός

prophecy:

προφητεία

and

καί

have

ἔχω

power

ἐξουσία

over

ἐπί

waters

ὕδωρ

to turn

στρέφω

them

αὐτός

to

εἰς

blood,

αἷμα

and

καί

to smite

πατάσσω

the earth

γῆ

with all

πᾶς

plagues,

πληγή

as often

ὁσάκις

as

ἐάν

they will.

θέλω

when

ὅταν

they shall have finished

τελέω

their

αὐτός

testimony,

μαρτυρία

the beast

θηρίον

that ascendeth

ἀναβαίνω

out of

ἐκ

the bottomless pit

ἄβυσσος

shall make

ποιέω

war

πόλεμος

against

μετά

them,

αὐτός

and

καί

shall overcome

νικάω

them,

αὐτός

and

καί

kill

ἀποκτείνω

them.

And

their

αὐτός

dead bodies

πτῶμα

shall lie in

ἐπί

the street

πλατεῖα

of the great

μέγας

city,

πόλις

which

ὅστις

spiritually

πνευματικῶς

is called

καλέω

Sodom

Σόδομα

and

καί

Egypt,

Αἴγυπτος

where

ὅπου

also

καί

our

ἡμῶν

Lord

κύριος

was crucified.

σταυρόω

they

βλέπω

of

ἐκ

the people

λαός

and

καί

kindreds

φυλή

and

καί

tongues

γλῶσσα

and

καί

nations

ἔθνος

shall see

βλέπω

their

αὐτός

dead bodies

πτῶμα

three

τρεῖς

days

ἡμέρα

and

καί

an half,

ἥμισυς

and

καί

shall

ἀφίημι

not

οὐ

suffer

ἀφίημι

their

αὐτός

dead bodies

πτῶμα

to be put

τίθημι

in

εἰς

graves.

And

καί

they that dwell

κατοικέω

upon

ἐπί

the earth

γῆ

shall rejoice

χαίρω

over

ἐπί

them,

αὐτός

and

καί

make merry,

εὐφραίνω

and

καί

shall send

πέμπω

gifts

δῶρον

one to another;

ἀλλήλων

because

ὅτι

these

οὗτος

two

δύο

prophets

προφήτης

tormented

βασανίζω

them that dwelt

κατοικέω

on

ἐπί

the earth.

γῆ

after

μετά

three

τρεῖς

days

ἡμέρα

and

καί

an half

ἥμισυς

the Spirit

πνεῦμα

of life

ζωή

from

ἐκ

God

θεός

entered

εἰσέρχομαι

into

ἐπί

them,

αὐτός

and

καί

they stood

ἵστημι

upon

ἐπί

their

αὐτός

feet;

πούς

and

καί

great

μέγας

fear

φόβος

fell

πίπτω

upon

ἐπί

them which saw

θεωρέω

them.

they heard

ἀκούω

a great

μέγας

voice

φωνή

from

ἐκ

heaven

οὐρανός

saying

λέγω

unto them,

αὐτός

Come up

ἀναβαίνω

hither.

ὧδε

And

καί

they ascended up

ἀναβαίνω

to

εἰς

heaven

οὐρανός

in

ἐν

a cloud;

νεφέλη

and

καί

their

αὐτός

enemies

ἐχθρός

beheld

θεωρέω

them.

And

the same

ἐν

ἐκεῖνος

hour

ὥρα

was there

γίνομαι

a great

μέγας

earthquake,

σεισμός

and

καί

the tenth part

δέκατος

of the city

πόλις

fell,

πίπτω

and

καί

in

ἐν

the earthquake

σεισμός

were slain

ἀποκτείνω

ὄνομα

of men

ἄνθρωπος

seven

ἑπτά

thousand:

χιλιάς

and

καί

the remnant

λοιπός

were

γίνομαι

affrighted,

ἔμφοβος

and

καί

gave

δίδωμι

glory

δόξα

to the God

θεός

of heaven.

The second

δεύτερος

woe

οὐαί

is past;

ἀπέρχομαι

and,

καί

behold,

ἰδού

the third

τρίτος

woe

οὐαί

cometh

ἔρχομαι

quickly.

ταχύ

And

the seventh

ἕβδομος

angel

ἄγγελος

sounded;

σαλπίζω

and

καί

there were

γίνομαι

great

μέγας

voices

φωνή

in

ἐν

heaven,

οὐρανός

saying,

λέγω

The kingdoms

βασιλεία

of this world

κόσμος

are become

γίνομαι

the kingdoms of our

ἡμῶν

Lord,

κύριος

and

καί

of his

αὐτός

Christ;

Χριστός

and

καί

he shall reign

βασιλεύω

for

εἰς

ever

αἰών

and ever.

And

the four

τέσσαρες

and

καί

twenty

εἴκοσι

elders,

πρεσβύτερος

which

ὁ

sat

κάθημαι

before

ἐνώπιον

God

θεός

on

ἐπί

their

αὐτός

seats,

θρόνος

fell

πίπτω

upon

ἐπί

their

αὐτός

faces,

πρόσωπον

and

καί

worshipped

προσκυνέω

God,

θεός

Saying,

λέγω

We give

εὐχαριστέω

thee

σοί

thanks,

εὐχαριστέω

O Lord

κύριος

God

θεός

Almighty,

παντοκράτωρ

which

ὁ

art,

ὤν

ὁ

and

καί

wast,

ἦν

ὁ

and

καί

art to come;

ἔρχομαι

ὁ

because

ὅτι

thou hast taken to thee

λαμβάνω

thy

σοῦ

great

μέγας

power,

δύναμις

and

καί

hast reigned.

βασιλεύω

And

καί

the nations

ἔθνος

were angry,

ὀργίζω

and

καί

thy

σοῦ

wrath

ὀργή

is come,

ἔρχομαι

and

καί

the time

καιρός

of the dead,

νεκρός

that they should be judged,

κρίνω

and

καί

that thou shouldest give

δίδωμι

reward

μισθός

unto thy

σοῦ

servants

δοῦλος

the prophets,

προφήτης

and

καί

to the saints,

ἅγιος

and

καί

them that fear

φοβέομαι

thy

σοῦ

name,

ὄνομα

small

μικρός

and

καί

great;

μέγας

and

καί

shouldest destroy

διαφθείρω

them which destroy

διαφθείρω

the earth.

the temple

of God

was opened

ἀνοίγω

in

ἐν

heaven,

οὐρανός

and

καί

there was seen

ὀπτάνομαι

in

ἐν

his

αὐτός

temple

ναός

the ark

κιβωτός

of his

αὐτός

testament:

διαθήκη

and

καί

there were

γίνομαι

lightnings,

ἀστραπή

and

καί

voices,

φωνή

and

καί

thunderings,

βροντή

and

καί

an earthquake,

σεισμός

and

καί

great

μέγας

hail.

χάλαζα
