these things

unto you,

ye sin

ἁμαρτάνω

not.

ἵνα

And

καί

if

ἐάν

any man

τις

sin,

ἁμαρτάνω

we have

ἔχω

an advocate

παράκλητος

with

πρός

the Father,

πατήρ

Jesus

Ἰησοῦς

Christ

Χριστός

the righteous:

δίκαιος

And

καί

he

αὐτός

is

ἐστί

the propitiation

ἱλασμός

for

περί

our

ἡμῶν

sins:

ἁμαρτία

and

δέ

not

οὐ

for

περί

ours

ἡμέτερος

only,

μόνον

but

ἀλλά

also

καί

for

περί

the sins of the whole

ὅλος

world.

we do know

γινώσκω

that

we know

γινώσκω

him,

ἐάν

we keep

τηρέω

αὐτός

commandments.

ἐστί

a liar,

ψεύστης

the truth

ἀλήθεια

ἐστί

not

ἐν

him.

ἀληθῶς

τούτῳ

know we

γινώσκω

that

we are

ἐσμέν

in

ἐν

him.

to walk,

commandment

the beginning.

ἐστί

λόγος

which

ye have heard

ἀκούω

ἀπό

the beginning.

the darkness

is past,

darkness,

he goeth,

that darkness

hath blinded

eyes.

Do Not Love the World

the world,

the things that are in

the world.

love

ἀγαπάω

the world,

the love

ἀγάπη

of the Father

πατήρ

is

ἐστί

not

οὐ

in

ἐν

him.

all

πᾶς

that is in

ἐν

the world,

κόσμος

the lust

ἐπιθυμία

of the flesh,

σάρξ

and

καί

the lust

ἐπιθυμία

of the eyes,

ὀφθαλμός

and

καί

the pride

ἀλαζονεία

of life,

βίος

is

ἐστί

not

οὐ

of

ἐκ

the Father,

πατήρ

but

ἀλλά

is

ἐστί

of

ἐκ

the world.

passeth away,

the lust

ἐπιθυμία

thereof:

he that doeth

Beware of Antichrists

Little children,

it is

ἐστί

the last

ἔσχατος

time:

ὥρα

as

καθώς

ye have heard

ἀκούω

that

ὅτι

antichrist

ἀντίχριστος

shall come,

ἔρχομαι

even

καί

now

νῦν

are there

γίνομαι

many

πολύς

antichrists;

ἀντίχριστος

whereby

ὅθεν

we know

γινώσκω

that

ὅτι

it is

ἐστί

the last

ἔσχατος

time.

ὥρα

They went out

ἐξέρχομαι

from

ἐκ

us,

ἡμῶν

but

ἀλλά

they were

ἦν

not

οὐ

of

ἐκ

us;

ἡμῶν

for

if

εἰ

they had been

ἦν

ἡμῶν

they would

ἄν

no doubt have continued

μένω

with

μετά

us:

ἡμῶν

but

they went out, that

ἵνα

they might be made manifest

the truth,

ἀλήθεια

ἀλλά

ὅτι

πᾶς

οὐ

lie

ψεῦδος

is

ἐστί

of

ἐκ

the truth.

a liar

ψεύστης

but

εἰ

he that denieth

ἀρνέομαι

that

ὅτι

Jesus

Ἰησοῦς

is

ἐστί

οὐ

the Christ?

Χριστός

He

οὗτος

is

ἐστί

antichrist,

ἀντίχριστος

that denieth

ἀρνέομαι

the Father

πατήρ

and

καί

the Son.

Whosoever

πᾶς

denieth

ἀρνέομαι

the Son,

υἱός

the same hath

ἔχω

not

οὐδέ

the Father:

πατήρ

(but) he that acknowledgeth

ὁμολογέω

also.

shall remain

μένω

in

ἐν

you,

ὑμῖν

ye

ὑμεῖς

shall continue

μένω

in

ἐν

the Son,

υἱός

and

καί

in

ἐν

the Father.

the promise

ἐπαγγελία

that

ὅς

αὐτός

hath promised

ἐπαγγέλλομαι

us,

ἡμῖν

even eternal

αἰώνιος

life.

them that seduce

the anointing

χρίσμα

abideth

μένω

ἐν

you,

ὑμῖν

ye need

χρεία

ἔχω

not

οὐ

that

ἵνα

any man

τις

teach

διδάσκω

you:

ὑμᾶς

but

ἀλλά

as

ὡς

the same

αὐτός

anointing

χρίσμα

teacheth

διδάσκω

you

ὑμᾶς

of

περί

all things,

πᾶς

and

καί

is

ἐστί

truth,

ἀληθής

and

καί

is

ἐστί

no

οὐ

lie,

ψεῦδος

and

καί

even as

καθώς

it hath taught

διδάσκω

you,

ὑμᾶς

ye shall abide

μένω

in

ἐν

him.

now,

little children,

τεκνίον

abide

μένω

in

ἐν

him;

αὐτός

that,

ἵνα

when

ὅταν

he shall appear,

φανερόω

we may have

ἔχω

confidence,

παρρησία

and

καί

not

μή

be ashamed

αἰσχύνομαι

before

ἀπό

him

αὐτός

at

ἐν

his

αὐτός

coming.

παρουσία

οἶδα

that

ὅτι

he is

ἐστί

righteous,

δίκαιος

ye know

γινώσκω

that

ὅτι

every one

πᾶς

that doeth

ποιέω

righteousness

δικαιοσύνη

is born

of

ἐκ

him.
